Module 3 · Website Architecture & Copy

Plan your pages, copy & design

25 min

Stage 2. Now we plan the actual website — every page, every section, the real words, and how each part should look — before a single thing is built. This is the difference between a generic template and a site that’s truly yours.

The big picture

Using your brand-strategy.md, Claude will create a second document: site-architecture.md. It maps your sitemap, lays out your homepage and every internal page section by section, writes the final copy for each section in your brand voice, and adds plain-English design instructions for each one. When this is done, building the site is almost just “follow the plan.”

Plan your website

Let's do Stage 2 — my website architecture and copy. Please follow your web-architecture skill, using my
brand-strategy.md:

1. Recommend the pages I need (keep it lean) and each page's one job — confirm with me.
2. Map my homepage and every internal page section by section. For each section, write the real, final
copy in my brand voice (no placeholder text) and add simple design instructions for how it should look.
3. Ask me for any real details you need — hours, prices, testimonials, contact info — instead of inventing
   them.
4. Save it all into a site-architecture.md file, save a snapshot, and give me a plain-language summary.

What to expect

  • Claude proposes your pages and confirms them with you.
  • It maps each page section by section, with finished copy and design notes.
  • It asks you for the real specifics it needs (don’t let it guess your hours or prices).
  • It writes site-architecture.md and saves a snapshot.
Review the copy

When Claude shows you the copy, read it like a customer would. If anything sounds stiff or off, say so — “make the About section warmer,” “shorten the hero headline.” It’s much easier to perfect the words now, in the plan, than after the site is built.

End of Module 3 — your blueprint is done

You now have your two foundation documents: brand-strategy.md and site-architecture.md. Together they’re a complete blueprint. Time to let Claude build the actual website.

If you get stuck

Feeling like there’s a lot of copy to review? You don’t have to perfect every word now — get it close. You’ll see it all on the real site next module and can refine it live.
