Choose your Claude plan
Claude Code needs a paid Claude plan — the free one doesn’t include it. Here’s how to choose in 60 seconds.
Get the Pro plan ($20/month)
For editing and maintaining your website, Claude Pro at $20/month is the right choice — it has everything you need. You can cancel any time, and you really only need it during the weeks you’re actively making changes.
- Go to
claude.aiand create an account (use an email you’ll keep). - Go to Upgrade / Plans and choose Pro.
- Add your payment details. Done — your account can now run Claude Code.
There’s a bigger “Max” plan but it’s only worth it if you end up working for hours every day — you can upgrade in one click later if you ever need to. Skip the “API” option; that’s for developers.
If you get stuck
If you ever see a “limit reached” message while working, don’t worry — your work is saved. Take a break and come back a bit later; the limit resets on a rolling window.
