Module 3 · Common edits, by example
Words, images, logo & colors
This module is your menu of everyday edits — the changes you’ll actually make, with a ready prompt for each. Copy one, fill in the brackets, paste it in. Remember the loop: it all happens on your private preview first, and you refresh your browser to check.

How To Use ChatGPT To Write Website Copy (Best Prompts)
Change words on a page
Edit text
On my [ home / about / contact ] page, please change the text that currently says "[ paste the exact words that are there now ]" to say "[ your new words ]". Do it on my private preview and tell me where to look.
Update your phone, email, address or hours
Update contact details
Please update my business contact details everywhere they appear on the site: - Phone: [ new number ] - Email: [ new email ] - Address: [ new address ] - Hours: [ new hours ] Find every place these show up (including the footer) so nothing is missed, on my preview only.
Swap a photo or image
Have your new image saved somewhere you can find it. The easiest path: ask Claude where to put it, then drag it into that folder.
Replace an image
I want to replace the image [ describe which one, e.g. "the big photo at the top of the home page" ] with a new one. Please tell me exactly which folder to drop my new image file into and what to name it — then swap it in on my preview. My new image is a [ .jpg / .png ] file.
Change your logo
Update the logo
I'd like to update my logo. Please tell me where my current logo file lives and exactly where to put the new one, then replace it across the site (including the header and footer) on my preview. Let me know if the new one needs to be a particular size or file type.
Adjust your colors
Tweak brand colors
I'd like to adjust my website's colors. [ Describe what you want, e.g. "make the buttons a warmer orange" or "use this exact color: #0C2D48 for the headings" ]. Please show me the change on my preview, and if there are a few places it affects, walk me through them so nothing looks off.
Just describe it (“a soft sage green,” “the blue from my logo”) or paste a screenshot and say “match this.” Claude can pick the right color code for you. You never need to know hex codes.
You’ve got a reliable prompt for each everyday change — words, contact info, images, logo, and colors — and you’ve tried at least one on your preview.
Not sure which words or image to point Claude at? Describe it in everyday language and let Claude find it: “I want to change the paragraph near the bottom of the home page that talks about our guarantee — can you find it and show me what it says now?”
