Module 5 · Publish your changes live

Undo a published change

8 min

Published something and had second thoughts? Completely fine — and completely reversible. Because every version is saved, you can put your live site back to how it was, then re-publish. Here’s how.

Undo a published change

Roll back my live site

I published a change but I'd like to undo it and put my live site back to how it looked before. Please take me
back to the previous version, show it to me on my private preview first so I can confirm it's the right one,
and then publish that so my live site goes back to normal. Explain each step simply.

Go back to a specific earlier version

Return to an earlier version

I'd like to see the earlier versions of my site that we've saved. Please show me a simple list of recent
versions with what changed, help me pick the one I want to go back to, preview it for me, and then publish it
once I confirm.
You genuinely cannot lose your work

Every saved version stays in your history. “Undoing” doesn’t delete anything — it just brings an older version back to the front. You can always change your mind again. This is exactly why you can publish with confidence.

End of Module 5 — you own the full loop

You can publish changes live and roll them back. That’s complete control of your website: make it, preview it, publish it, undo it. One module left — the one that makes you truly independent.

If you get stuck

Not sure which version to go back to? Ask Claude to help you decide: “Can you describe what changed in each of my recent versions in plain English, so I can tell which one I want to return to?”
