Build it: operations tools you could own

Every platform in the last lesson has a build-your-own cousin: a tool you own outright, that does exactly what your business needs instead of the 80% a subscription covers, and that costs nothing to run — host it free on Vercel, or run it on your own computer. For operations, where the tools encode your process, owning is at its most valuable.

Here are four operations tools worth owning. You don’t need to know how to code to build any of them — you need to be able to describe how your business works, which you did three times in the Prompt-it lesson without noticing.
