Module 3 · Build #1: The Proposal Generator
Polish, snapshot & make it a habit
The tool works. This lesson tightens the design, saves your work safely, and turns the whole thing into a five-second habit — so every future deal starts the same easy way.
Tighten the details
A few finishing touches separate “good enough” from “this person is serious.” Make each one its own small request, the same one-change-at-a-time rhythm you already know:
- “Give the pages a bit more margin so it doesn’t feel crowded.”
- “Make sure sections don’t get split awkwardly across a page break.”
- “Add a signature and acceptance block at the end — a place for a name, a date, and a signature line.”
Save it safely
This is the Module 2 habit, now for real: snapshot your work and back it up to GitHub so a dead laptop can never take your tool with it. One line does it:
Copy this into Claude Code
Save a snapshot of my work with git, then push it to a private GitHub repository. Walk me through any login steps one at a time.
Your new routine
From now on, every new deal starts the same five moves. Keep this within reach:
- 1
Open proposal-builder in Claude Code
Double-click in, permissions on. - 2
Say “new proposal”
The playbook takes over from there. - 3
Answer the interview
Plain speech, one question at a time. - 4
Approve the draft
Edit it together until it reads like you. - 5
Send the PDF
Verified, on-brand, done in minutes.
Ideas for later
Not now — but when you’re ready to make it even better, these are one prompt each:
- A cover-page option for bigger proposals.
- Different template variants for your different services.
- A follow-up-email drafter that reads the proposal you sent and writes the check-in message a week later.
You built a real, branded tool that turns an evening’s work into a few minutes, and you used it on a live proposal. That’s the first of your three builds behind you. Next up: a private client hub that remembers every detail so you never walk into a meeting blank.
