Module 4 · Build #2: The Client Hub
Make it fit your business
Right now the hub speaks a generic language: “clients,” “appointments,” “notes.” Your business has its own words and its own fields. In this lesson you make the hub speak your language.
One change at a time — still the rule
You learned this discipline early and it never stops mattering: ask for one specific change, see it work, then ask for the next. Don’t hand Claude a paragraph of five changes at once — when something looks off, you won’t know which change caused it. Small steps, checked as you go, get you somewhere clean far faster than one big leap.
Make it yours, one prompt each
Here are the kinds of changes that make the hub fit a real practice. Pick the ones that match your business, and paste them one at a time:
Rename to match your world
Rename "appointments" to "sessions" everywhere.
Add the fields you actually track
Add a field for referral source and one for billing status.
Group your clients your way
Add a tag system so I can group clients.
Surface what matters each morning
Add a birthdays line to the TODAY view.
A cleaning company might rename “sessions” to “jobs” and add a field for the property address. A coach might add a “goals” field and a tag for which program someone’s on. There’s no wrong answer — if your business tracks it, add it.
Snapshot after every change that works
Each time a change lands and the hub still works the way you want, lock it in. Just tell Claude:
Save your progress
Save a snapshot with git.
That’s your undo button. If a later change goes sideways, you can always ask Claude to go back to the last snapshot — so you can keep reshaping the hub without ever fearing you’ll break it for good.
The hub speaks your business’s language: your words for appointments, the fields you actually track, the way you group people — and every working version is snapshotted so you can experiment freely.
